Soul Searching in Cebu

Have you ever had your heart broken? How did you cope with the healing process? In my case, I tried traveling alone. Back in 2015, I went to Cebu to soul-search, and to avoid nurturing the pain that my past relationship had inflicted. Did I learn my lesson? Definitely! This was my itinerary, or using my terms, "Ways to Forget a Stressful Relationship"

DAY 1

• Flight from NAIA Terminal 2 to Mactan Airport, Cebu (7 AM - 8:10 AM) •Taxi from airport to Marco Polo Plaza (20 minutes away) •Check in to Marco Polo Plaza for two nights (I highly recommend this one, not to mention the incredibly fast free WiFi!) •Enjoy tha plaza’s jacuzzi, sauna, pool, fitness room, the Penthouse (nothing beats a drink at a thousand feet high plus a good view of the city.) •Cap the day off with a good tea at Café Marco. I just have to mention the jazz singer who dedicated a song to me, because, quoting him, “Being alone inside a café will bring you on the pedestal.” ❤️

Day 2 (Meeting my Aunt and my cousin)

•Island Hopping! (bring your snorkeling gears) •City tour: Basillica del Sto. Nino (you’ll never go wrong. Say your prayers here. It helped me a lot.) and Magellan’s Cross •Ride a taxi bound to the mall. (I went there to shop and to eat) and then wait for the shuttle (hotel) to pick you up. •Enjoy the luxurious amenities of Marco Polo Plaza. It is called the only 5-star hotel in Cebu for a reason, okay. Don’t let yourself regret the expenses. (Lool)

Day 3

•Whale Watching (butanding): Take a bus bound to Oslob. Estimated time is 2 hours and a half. •Walk to Tumalog Falls. You’ll never go wrong. It was enchanting and magical, as if fairies would appear in any minute. •Take a bus from there back to Mactan Terminal, and then take a taxi to Marco Polo •Take a rest because you deserve it. •Ride the scenic lift up to the Penthouse, have a drink and just enjoy the view. Take a lot of pictures! It’s going to be your last night in Cebu.

Day 4 •Flight from Mactan Airport to NAIA Terminal 2 (7 AM to 8:10 AM)
