Today, 4 September 2016, the whole world witnessed the canonization of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who dedicated her entire life serving the poorest of the poor. The canonization took place at the Vatican, which was lead by Pope Francis.

In order to be a saint, two miracles are required after the beatification of the 'to be Saint' and in the case of Mother Teresa, two miracles were already recorded. The first recorded miracle was believed to took place in 1999 and in 2015, the second miracle happened when a man dying of brain cancer was healed after he prayed to Mother Teresa and no scientific evidence was found on how the man was healed of the illness.

Today, another Saint was canonized and millions of Catholics around the world are celebrating as they witnessed the road to the sainthood of the woman who genuinely acted upon her calling and wholeheartedly served the poorest of the poor. This canonization serves a beautiful reminder not only to Catholics but to all the people and that is they have to help those who are in need without expecting anything in return and love those who are in need of it.
