Mother Teresa as an Inspiration

Who would never feel blessed to meet Saints who, when alive, were looked up to. Fr. Aris Sison, the Parish Priest of the Immaculate Concepcion Parish in Cubao, consider himself as one of the fortunate ones to be given the chance to meet two of the dedicated servants of Jesus, when alive, and now saints, Saint John Paul II and the recently declared saint, Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

Fr. Sison met Saint John Paul II during his Papal visit in the Philippines in 1995. When the late Pope celebrated the mass in Luneta , Fr. Sison was then the altar boy.

“Huarang Kristyano”, Fr. Sison to Saint Teresa. Fr. Sison also reminisced the day when he met Mother Teresa. According to him, it was indeed a blessing to have met the Sister face to face who was known for serving the poor from orphans, starving ones and those who have disabilities.

The good deeds done by Mother Teresa were recognize when granted her the Noble Peace Prize in 1979.

The lessons learned from the stories of her humble deeds of serving the poor have became Fr. Aris’ inspiration that he practices until now.

As what Mother Teresa said to the seminarians, “My dear seminarians give us Jesus. Only Jesus. Always Jesus.” A
