'Habagat' causes flooding in Pampanga
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA - Flooding in Pampanga got worse on Tuesday as moderate to heavy rains spawned by Habagat rains continued to fall in the province. Governor Lilia Pineda declares the suspension of classes in all levels both public and private, in the entire province on Wednesday. Work in offices at the Pampanga provincial Capitol compound is also suspended.
That flooded areas are in the City of San Fernando, Guagua, Masantol, Macabebe, Lubao, San Simon and Bacolor. The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CDRRMO) reported that roads are not passable to light vehicles including the main road Mc Arthur Highway.
According to the FB post of Mr. Benny Guinto of GNN 44 "In 1972, It took 40 days of rain to put Pampanga and Central Luzon under water. Today only 4 hours... Climate change"
