YOU ARE EXCEPTIONAL

“Being different isn’t a bad thing. It means you’re brave enough to be yourself.”

Being like this ‘cause everyone else is. Being like that ‘cause everyone else is. Doing this ‘cause everyone does it. Doing that ‘cause everyone does that. Aren’t you tired of pretending whom you are not? Aren’t you tired of doing anything just to fit in? Aren’t you tired of exerting your effort just to be someone else whom others wanted you to be?

In this world full of judgments, insecurities, imperfections, and ‘pressure’, there you are dying to do anything just to fit in. What in the world does fitting in could give you? Could it give you the satisfaction you have and feel whenever you are just you? Does it give you the feeling of fulfillment whenever you got to do the things that you really wanted to do? Would it guarantee you the feeling of completeness when you got to be yourself and no one else? Could it reward you the feeling of enthusiasm when you do the things that you’re used to that you’ve stopped doing ‘cause you’re afraid they’ll judge you? Are you afraid of showing those extra curves or hidden blemishes ‘cause you’re afraid not to be labeled as beautiful?

You know, people are created equal, people are unique to each other. You have that something that someone wants. You can do that something that someone can’t. You are someone that someone wanted to be. Being able to live like you used to, never minding those around you and what they would say, not afraid of showing what you’ve got without thinking ‘bout your imperfections is the most fulfilling and bravest thing that you could ever reward yourself. You don’t have to wear that mask that let you ‘do this’ instead of ‘doing that.’ Sing your heart out. Dance like there’s no one watching. Be proud of your flaws and start flaunting them. Laugh and smile with every memory that makes you completely happy. You are created the way the Lord wanted you to be. He created you as you because He has a purpose. And your role to thank Him for bringing you to life is to embrace your difference and love your flaws as He love you. No one could be better than yourself except the one that you are yesterday. No one could ever love you except yourself. Learn to be brave to show the world what you’ve got and start living the life that you should’ve been living from then. Be contented with what you have and who you are. Remember, you are exceptional.
