For Whose Glory?
Colossians 3:17 KJV
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.
Have you ever wondered about the person up above? Yes, Him. God. Have you ever wondered about Him, and what He’s doing and how He’s doing? Where he is and just plain curiosity striking up about Him. But you know one thing’s for sure, He’s looking out for us- planning and guiding us with our lives. We are busy about ourselves but God is busy about us.
He is busy planning that new born baby’s future. He is busy comforting that widow, busy strengthening that scarred soldier. God is busy helping that young boy train for the basketball try-outs, busy helping that girl practice for their school’s talent competition. He is busy forgiving that person who committed adultery, busy encouraging that person who drowned himself in drugs but is seeking help. God is busy being there for all the people in this world but He is not busy enough to not give you His attention.
With a lot of things happening, you wouldn’t be afraid of changing or moving on with your life because you know God is in control of everything. Remember the time you got what you wanted even if it looked impossible to get it? Yeah, God was behind that. Remember how you passed your course subject even if it was your waterloo? God helped you with that. Remember your accident? How you almost died and asked God why He didn’t just let you die because of the pain you were feeling? God protected you, He saved you because your time on this Earth was not finish yet. Your failures, God was the one who challenged you to realize something for yourself. Your achievements? God gave them to let you feel encouraged and inspired.
Now with those things cleared, never ever forget to thank God with the things that happens in your life. A part of the things that happens to you is, yes, because of you but majority of it is because God is behind all of it. Never boast about your achievements because if it weren’t for God, you wouldn’t achieve it. But don’t let this information push you in blaming God for the bad things but just remember to thank Him for the challenge.
Now the question is, how can you thank Him for everything? It’s simple really, just do everything you got to do and say everything you have to say for His and only His glory. Give everything back to God. Don’t take the credit, the pain. Just live for Him, your everything.
