Ombudsman’s Hardwork Paid Off

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales has recently been awarded by the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Awards for 2016. The award-giving body extolled Ombudsman Morales for showcasing her high ethical standards, leadership, incorruptibility, courage, diligence and for restoring the faith in rule of law.
Her achievements include the huge cases she submitted against former president, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, former vice president, Jejomar Binay and senators that include former senate president, Juan Ponce Enrile, Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada.
Aside from Ombudsman Morales of the Philippines, there were also awardees like Dompet Dhuafa of Indonesia, Bezwada Wilson and Thodur Madabusi Krishna of India, Vientiane Rescue of Laos, and Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers of Japan.
Ramon Magsaysay Awards is known as the “Noble Peace Prize of Asia” for recognizing the individuals or groups that gave a huge contribution to their community or country.
