EDUC bags championship in SOLA Marian Choral Competition 2016

The College of Education (COE) wins both the championship and best choice piece with the help of their conductor, Mr. Jericho Nino Torres in the annual SOLA Marian Competition, organized by the UA Chorale (UAC) last August 22, 2016 held at the UA gymnasium, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The COE sang the contest piece, “Inay” which was composed by Mr. Arnel Aquino, S.J. and arranged by Mr. Rey Quizon, and their contest piece, “My life in you” by Arnold Zamora, with their angelic voices.
They also beat the two-time defending champion, School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) who placed 1st runner up with its conductor, Mr. Paul Pangilinan followed by the College of Business Administration (CBA), who place 2nd runner up with its conductor Mr. Clarence Bautista.
But, while waiting for the results of the competition, the UA Chorale in collaboration with the UA Munting Tinig and the UA Angelic Choir serenaded the audience as they sang a popular Disney Song, “Let it Go” from the movie, Frozen.
The other competitors are the College of Accountancy (COA), College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), and the UA Senior High School (UASHS).
