Ingat Nang Asuncion was nominated at the UNESCO Clubs of the Philippines

City of San Fernando Pampanga- The Ingat Nang Asuncion of University of the Assumption was nominated at the UNESCO Clubs of the Philippines. Grace D. Tiqui, the adviser of the INA (Ingat Nang Asuncion) said that the organization was awarded three times in a row enabling to be nominated as the Hall of Fame.

INA’s trust and sustainable development became an advantage to the organization to the UNESCO Clubs Philippines.

“The purpose of the Search for The Outstanding UNESCO Clubs is to recognize and campaign for the achievements and advocacies of the varied clubs whose endeavors are aligned with the ideals and thrusts of UNESCO.” as stated in their facebook page.

The Ina of the University of the Assumption was a college based organization, which started year 2005, founded by Jeffrey Tolentino. Tolentino started the organization as a tutorial class to help illiterate children (slow readers and slow learners).

The UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) Clubs Philippines is expected to award the top 5 organizations on September 20,2016 that were nominated which the Ingat Nang Asuncion of University of the Assumption belong. The other four organizations that were nominated are; Baybayin of Ateneo de Manila University, Industrial Engineering Council of Cebu Institute of Technology – University, Las Pinas Heritage Guiding Association and Legal Management Society of University of Santo Tomas.
